Mara Girls’ Leadership School is a private community school overseen by Basecamp Foundation Kenya, a non-profit organization that aims to transform lives by empowering communities through Education, sustainable development projects, micro enterprises / Entrepreneurship and conservation. The school is located 111 Kms from Narok town, at Biotisho Centre, Talek Township.

We are seeking to recruit a passionate and resourceful qualified teacher who will lead in the development of a model academy that will serve the community in the Mara and beyond.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Teach and educate pupils according to guidelines provided by the Kenya National Examination Council Curriculum Framework under the overall guidance of the Head of Institution
• Maintenance of class registers, lesson plans, schemes of work, pupils progress records, records of work and other records.
• Management of class and the school Boarding department
• Assisting and organization of relevant teaching and learning materials
• Assisting in coordination of co-curriculum activities
• Any other duty assigned by the Head of Institution / Deputy HOI.

Qualifications & Experience

• Must be a TSC trained teacher with a TSC number.
• Able to teach the above learning areas in Junior School Curriculum (Grade 7-9)
• P 1 teachers with either diploma or degree in Secondary teaching are encouraged to apply.
• Experience in teaching English/working in the Boarding department for the last 2 years is an added advantage.
