Job Purpose

To provide pastoral care and supervision to boys in the boarding house during evenings while also supporting the school’s co-curricular program through coaching in basketball and/or swimming. The role requires a responsible adult willing to reside within the school dormitory and contribute to student discipline, well-being, and development.

Qualifications:

• Diploma/Certificate in Education, Sports Science, or related field is an added advantage.
• Proven experience in coaching basketball and/or swimming.
• Experience working with children or in a school/boarding environment.
• Basic first aid and lifesaving certification (especially for swimming) is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities.

• Supervise students in the boys’ dormitory during evenings, nights, and weekends as scheduled.
• Ensure students adhere to school rules, routines, and bedtime schedules.
• Conduct roll calls and monitor student attendance and movement.
• Plan and conduct regular training sessions in basketball and/or swimming.
• Develop students’ skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
• Maintain discipline in the dormitory and during sports activities.
• Work closely with teachers, boarding master/mistress, and school administration.
• Uphold child protection and safeguarding policies.
• Reside in the school dormitory or designated accommodation.
• Be available for night duty and emergency response.
