Key Responsibilities
As a RAY, you are your client’s operational nerve centre. You build systems, produce reports, run research, handle financial analysis, and lead projects that improve how your client’s business operates at a structural level.
- Manage your client’s inbox, calendar, travel, and tasks – end to end, without supervision
- Build and maintain AI-powered automations and workflows using Claude, ChatGPT, Zapier, N8N, and Notion – tools you are trained on before your first client match
- Conduct research and produce polished reports for investor meetings, board presentations, and strategic decisions
- Handle financial reporting, expense management, and accounting preparation
- Lead long-horizon projects that improve how your client’s business runs structurally
- Anticipate your client’s needs before they arise – if they have to ask you twice, something has gone wrong
Qualifications & Experience
We hire for drive, ownership, and intelligence. Our strongest RAYs come from backgrounds as different as technology, finance, and the arts. The non-negotiables:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent – firm requirement
- C2-level English, written and spoken – you will represent a founder’s voice to their clients and partners
- High agency – you act without being told, take ownership of outcomes, and bring solutions. This is assessed directly.
- Genuine curiosity about AI tools – RAY provides full training, but you need to be the kind of person who leans in, not away
- Exceptional organisational discipline and attention to detail – nothing falls through the cracks, ever
- Discretion and professionalism – your client will trust you with their most sensitive information from week one
WHAT YOU EARN AND RECEIVE
- Monthly salary: up to KES 100,000 – paid reliably every month as an independent contractor
- Performance bonus: up to 3 additional months’ salary per year. Every RAY who has hit their performance markers has received a bonus.
- 10% salary raise at 3 months: performance-gated, and 95% of our RAYs earn it. Your earnings increase within your first quarter.
- Company laptop and hardware: fully provided – you do not spend anything on equipment
- 4-week paid training bootcamp: Week 1: operational excellence. Week 2: AI and LLMs. Week 3: modern productivity tools. Week 4: the RAY standard – all before your first client match
- German language classes: fully sponsored by RAY AI for team members working with German-speaking clients
- Expert community: every RAY has access to automation engineers, presentation designers, and language specialists
- RAY Connect: a monthly community call for all RAYs – peer support, shared learning, and a team that has your back from day one
- Location: fully remote – open to candidates anywhere in Kenya.
