Travel Consultant Job

  • We are seeking a passionate Travel Consultant to join our close-knit and growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual who thrives in crafting unforgettable travel experiences, especially within Kenya and the wider East African region.
  • As a Travel Consultant, you will be responsible for managing client inquiries, planning detailed itineraries, preparing compelling travel quotes using our SafariOffice App, and closing bookings with a persuasive, consultative approach. You’ll also receive qualified leads and have the support of a collaborative team while you build lasting client relationships.
  • This role is ideal for someone who enjoys sales, is detail-oriented, and has a solid understanding of inbound travel experiences, particularly within Kenya.

What You’ll Do

  • Engage with leads provided by the company and convert them into successful bookings.
  • Plan and design tailor-made itineraries with an excellent grasp of destinations, accommodation, experiences, and logistics.
  • Use the SafariOffice App (and similar quoting tools) to prepare professional and competitive travel quotations.
  • Advise clients on travel products, visa requirements, and other essential travel information.
  • Maintain communication with clients before, during, and after travel to ensure exceptional service.
  • Package and present travel experiences in a compelling, organized, and clear manner for different types of clients.
  • Work from the office a minimum of 3 days per week (stipend support provided for transport).

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience or strong understanding of the travel and tourism industry, especially inbound travel in Kenya.
  • Demonstrated ability to create travel itineraries with attention to detail and personalization.
  • Strong sales skills—ability to persuade and confidently close bookings.
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable working with digital quote preparation tools such as Wetu or SafariOffice App (preferred).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and customer service skills.
  • Highly organized and self-driven with the ability to manage multiple inquiries and priorities.
