Position Summary

JFC Munene College of Health Sciences invites applications from qualified and competent individuals to fill the position of Trainer in the Health Sciences Department. The successful candidates will be responsible for delivering high-quality training, evaluating student performance, and supporting the academic and professional development of students in line with institutional and regulatory standards.

  • Delivering lectures and facilitating learning sessions in assigned subject areas.
  • Preparing teaching work plans, lesson plans, and schemes of work.
  • Developing curriculum support materials, including lesson notes and learning resources.
  • Supervising students during clinical practice, attachments, and practical sessions.
  • Supervising student coursework, assignments, and research activities.
  • Setting, administering, and invigilating examinations in accordance with institutional policies.
  • Marking examinations, assignments, presentations, and Continuous Assessment Tests (CATs).
  • Monitoring and evaluating student academic progress and providing appropriate feedback.
  • Mentoring and guiding students on academic and professional development.
  • Coordinating clinical practice and practical learning activities.
  • Participating in departmental and institutional academic activities.
  • Assisting in planning and coordinating departmental activities, including educational trips.
  • Maintaining accurate academic records and reports.
  • Performing any other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Clinical Medicine from a recognized institution.
  • Valid TVETA Trainer License (Mandatory).
  • Pedagogy training certificate (Mandatory).
  • Minimum of two (2) years teaching or clinical experience.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
