Qualifications

• Minimum Master’s degree in Taxation, Public Finance, Accounting, Economics, Public Administration, or a related field.
• Professional certification in taxation (e.g., Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or equivalent) is an advantage.

Experience

• At least 5 years of experience in tax administration within a national revenue authority or tax policy institution.
• Demonstrated knowledge of tax laws, tax policy implementation, compliance enforcement, and revenue forecasting.
• Experience in managing or advising on tax types such as VAT, corporate income tax, personal income tax, and withholding taxes.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing tax compliance improvement strategies and taxpayer services programs.
• Familiarity with international tax standards and frameworks, including OECD and IMF guidelines.
• Experience conducting institutional assessments and implementing tax reform strategies.

Skills

• Strong technical expertise in tax compliance risk management, audit processes, and revenue collection systems.
• Proficiency in using tax administration systems (e.g., Integrated Tax Administration Systems – ITAS) and digital tax platforms.
• Ability to develop tax training modules and deliver capacity-building sessions for tax officials.
• Strong policy analysis, report writing, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex tax concepts to diverse audiences.
