Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Nairobi County, Kenya for a Senior Interior Designer – Technical & Site Lead. The Senior Interior Designer will oversee the technical aspects of interior design projects, ensuring that they meet quality standards and design specifications. Responsibilities include developing detailed design plans, managing site activities, and coordinating with various stakeholders. The role also involves guiding junior designers, ensuring compliance with building codes, and resolving on-site issues.
Qualifications
- Proficient in interior detailing and construction drawings
- Confident leading fit-out and site execution
- Able to work independently and own full design scopes
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and SketchUp
- Strong project management and site supervision skills
- Experience in developing detailed design plans and technical drawings
- Ability to lead and mentor junior designers
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design,
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in interior design and site execution
