Senior Coordinator for Resilience & Security NGO Job UMI Fund

The job holder will have the following key responsibilities:

  • Co-create, implement, and manage the overall coordination of an internal network security hub.
  • Ensure the hub is set up, responsibly run, is accountable to, and responds to member needs.
  • Liaise with network members, donors, consultants, service providers, and other relevant stakeholders, ensuring smooth communications and coordination.
  • Coordinate with and identify other stakeholders and/or networks with deep expertise in security, risk management, and crisis response best practices.
  • Ensure there are learning platforms and resources like trainings and spaces for peer-to-peer learning, as well as design sessions at the annual in-person network meeting in collaboration with the UMI Fund team.
  • Research, compile, and share regular briefings or updates on security and resilience for network members and other philanthropic partners.
  • Implement and oversee a dashboard of preparedness to monitor progress, collecting and evaluating, as well as the adoption of project management tools to track progress.
  • Oversee and manage information platforms used for sharing documents, including any necessary review of security and accessibility for group members.
  • Support the overall administration and financial reporting of the initiative in collaboration with the UMI Fund Finance Team

Experience

  • Previous experience in project management and facilitation, working remotely and across different geographies.
  • Proven working knowledge of security, risk management, and organisational resilience
  • Experience with designing, implementing, and facilitating training is a benefit.
  • Familiarity with climate philanthropy and grantmaking entities is a plus.
  • High degree of professionalism and integrity to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion.
  • Proactive and resourceful with a strong sense of initiative and ability to work independently.
  • A flexible team player who is a fast learner and comfortable working in a highly collaborative (remote) team culture.
  • Comfort in working collectively with networks, coalitions, and alliances of stakeholders
  • Ability to travel internationally for conferences and team meetings
  • Cultural Competency: understanding of diversity and inclusion issues, including race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, and other dimensions of diversity, and the ability to navigate complex cultural dynamics.
