Role Purpose:
The Salesperson at Daveon Solar Solutions plays a critical role in driving the company’s growth by promoting and selling solar energy products and solutions to residential, commercial, and institutional clients. The role involves identifying customer needs, providing tailored renewable energy solutions, maintaining strong customer relationships, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction while achieving set sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Customer Acquisition
- Identify potential customers through field visits, referrals, online inquiries, and market research.
- Promote and sell solar products including solar home systems, solar water pumps, batteries, inverters, and accessories.
- Conduct product demonstrations and site assessments to determine customer energy needs.
- Prepare and present quotations, proposals, and product information to clients.
- Follow up on leads and close sales within agreed timelines.
Customer Relationship Management
- Maintain long-term relationships with clients through excellent post-sale support and communication.
- Provide after-sales assistance and coordinate with the technical team to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Collect and relay customer feedback to improve product and service offerings.
Market Development and Brand Representation
- Represent Daveon Solar Solutions professionally in all interactions and events.
- Support marketing campaigns, exhibitions, and community sensitization programs to promote renewable energy awareness.
- Identify new market opportunities and provide recommendations for growth.
Reporting and Administration
- Maintain accurate sales records and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
- Track customer orders, deliveries, and payments in coordination with the operations and finance teams.
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends to inform sales strategies.
Key Skills and Competencies:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent negotiation and persuasion abilities.
- Basic technical understanding of solar energy systems (training will be provided).
- Ability to work independently and meet targets.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Customer-focused with strong problem-solving skills.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Diploma or Certificate in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, Renewable Energy, or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in sales, preferably in solar, energy, or fast-moving consumer goods sectors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with CRM tools is an added advantage.
- Fluency in English and Swahili.
- Must be based in or willing to work in Mombasa County.
