Our client, a prominent distributor of motorcycles in Kenya with a strong presence in the market, is seeking to hire a Sales Planning Officer who will be responsible for developing and monitoring sales plans, managing inventory and demand forecasting, and ensuring alignment with company objectives. This role supports growth and profitability by analyzing market trends, optimizing inventory, and tracking sales performance.

Key Internal Relationships:

  • Area In-Charge Officers
  • Sales Administration Unit
  • Registration Officers
  • Production Planning Team

Sales Planning

  • Develop annual and quarterly sales plans aligned with company objectives, market trends, and historical performance.

Demand Forecasting and Inventory Planning

  • Collaborate with production teams to forecast demand and maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Place CKD import orders in line with NIGURI to support seamless production and sales operations.

Sales Performance Monitoring

  • Track, evaluate, and report sales performance against targets.
  • Prepare and distribute performance reports to internal and external stakeholders.

Sales Channels Monitoring

  • Monitor and report on various sales channels, including retail, finance, cash, and corporate sales.

Market Analysis

  • Analyze sales trends and market data to identify growth opportunities.
  • Gather and interpret market intelligence to inform strategic decisions.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Ensure timely crediting of dealer accounts for incentives to maintain strong dealer relationships.
  • Utilize AI-generated reports to enhance accuracy and efficiency in dealer management.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or related field
  • Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas)
  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot)
  • Ability to interpret large datasets and present insights clearly
  • Strong analytical and planning skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
  • Ability to monitor and analyze market and sales data effectively.
  • Proficiency in demand forecasting and inventory management.
  • Collaborative mindset with cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Good mathematical and logical reasoning skills.
  • Diligent and hardworking.
  • Prior experience in Sales preferably in the Motorcycle/Automotive industry.
