Job Summary
Fenway Park Holding Limited is looking for a hands on, results driven Quarry Manager to take full responsibility for quarry operations. The role demands strong leadership, solid technical knowledge and the ability to deliver production targets safely, efficiently and profitably.
The successful candidate will oversee extraction, processing, equipment performance, compliance, team management and overall operational performance of the quarry.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Plan, organize and oversee all quarry operations.
- Develop and monitor production targets, KPIs and performance reports.
- Coordinate extraction activities to meet agreed production volumes.
- Supervise processing and transportation of quarry materials.
- Drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives.
Health, Safety and Compliance
- Ensure a safe and healthy working environment at all times.
- Enforce compliance with mining regulations, environmental standards and licensing requirements.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Liaise with relevant regulatory authorities where necessary.
Equipment and Maintenance
- Oversee maintenance of quarry equipment and vehicles to minimize downtime.
- Monitor equipment performance and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
- Oversee fuel usage and control consumption.
Financial and Commercial Oversight
- Support procurement processes and supplier coordination.
- Assist in budget preparation and ensure strict budget control.
- Implement cost control measures to reduce waste and improve profitability.
- Oversee sales operations and support customer satisfaction.
Technical and Operational Control
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical and operational challenges.
- Ensure proper inventory management and reconciliation of quarry materials.
- Oversee stock take of materials and explosives where applicable.
- Manage contractor performance where required.
Leadership and Administration
- Lead, supervise and develop the quarry team.
- Manage workplace conflicts and maintain discipline.
- Ensure timely preparation of operational reports and proper record keeping.
- Support internal and external audit processes.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Director.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mining and Mineral Processing or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in quarry or mining operations.
- Strong knowledge of quarry operations, equipment and safety standards.
- Proven leadership and team management experience.
- Strong financial awareness and budget control capability.
- Excellent reporting, planning and organizational skills.
- Strong problem solving and decision making ability.
- Ability to report immediately will be an added advantage.
