Responsibilities

  • Assist in the overall management and coordination of the UNEP Goodwill Ambassador Program.
  • Support the development of the UNEP GWA and influencers engagement plan at UNEA-7.
  • Support the identification of media and field trip opportunities for UNEP GWAs alongside UNEA-7.
  • Support the preparation of an engagement itinerary and briefing kits for UNEP GWAs attending UNEA-7.
  • Support the review and regular updating of the UNEP GWA webpage.
  • Support drafting of briefing documents and presentations as required.
  • Assist in creating engaging pitch decks for potential UNEP influencer engagement opportunities.
  • Assist with online research relating to celebrity supporters and GWA prospects
  • Support activation and media engagement analysis relating to UNEP GWAs
  • Assist in the daily management of the UNEP influencer administrative folder and engagement mapping.
  • Participate in the monthly GWA focal points meetings and assist with the follow-up on agreed actions.
  • Help produce weekly updates on relevant celebrity social media and digital activities, including media monitoring/social media engagement analytics
  • Carry out other duties on an as-needed basis as may be required.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet one of the following requirements:

  • Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher);
  • Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
  • Ideal candidates should possess:
    • Strong writing skills
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Proficiency in digital technology
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • No working experience is required.
  • Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience. However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required.
  • Applicants must be a student in the final year of the first university degree (bachelor’s or equivalent), Master’s, or Ph.D. Programme or equivalent, or have completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PH.D. Programme.
