Project Coordinator- Agile and Scrum

This person will coordinate projects for the Innovation department’s back log of over 70 AI related initiatives. Currently, the department has one project manager who is handling 1) The AI Roadmaps Program (consist of 6 active agile-scrum project + a data lake project)2) All Innovation Dept 100-day initiatives/projects and 3) additional

Innovation dept projects not related to AI Roadmap nor the 100 Day items. This new role to allow for additional Innovation Dept projects to be able to ramp-up as well as provide assistance to current active projects. The position should be a Senior PC level as it will need higher than entry-level skills for coordination, communication, RAID management and agile-scrum knowledge.

  • Align project sponsors and stakeholders on project objectives, scope, milestones, and timelines
  • Facilitate project stakeholder identification and subsequent engagement activities to ensure that the correct individuals are involved and informed
  • Guide the project team in following Agile SDLC practices and ceremonies
  • Develop and maintain project plans utilizing a standardized Smart sheets framework with discreet tasks, assigned owners, due dates, and appropriate dependencies; work with relevant subject matter experts to ensure project plan will achieve project objectives
  • Communicate tasks with owners and gain buy-into ownership and due date utilize change control as necessary
  • Utilize MS Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, Smart sheets and other relevant tools for project communication, integration and collaboration
  • Coordinate and facilitate project meetings with multi-department resources and steer consensus; identify the implication of emerging needs, changes in scope and decisions needed by senior management
  • Act as a communication liaison between project teams and senior management for project status updates, issue escalations and key decision points
  • Track and mitigate RAID items, remove obstacles and escalate as necessary to maintain positive project progress
  • Other duties as assigned

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience with MSOffice(Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook)
  • Experience with Smart sheets, MS Project or other project scheduling tools
  • Experience with Project Management in an Agile-Scrum SDLC environment
  • Ability to learn new technologies
  • Works well in teams and is an active listener
  • Strong organizational skills including meeting facilitation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Ability to facilitate consensus even when the topic is not an area of personal subject matter expertise
  • Comfortable collaborating with senior leaders
  • Strong sense of personal accountability in maintaining project progress per priorities; self-starter
  • Demonstrate patience and courteous behavior

Qualifications:

  • Project management experience; PMP required (or will acquire in first year of employment)
  • Scrum Master experience; Certified Scrum Master preferred
  • 2+ years Project Coordinator experience
  • 2+ years working in a large matrix organization
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred
