Printing Machine Operator (Rotogravure) Job

Responsibilities

• Operate printing machines efficiently to deliver quality printed materials with minimal waste.
• Ensure compliance with job specifications, including print clarity and color accuracy.
• Conduct regular quality checks to identify and address printing defects.
• Maintain cleanliness and functionality of printing machines.
• Interpret job orders to determine print specifications (quantities, stock types, production times, etc.).
• Set up and adjust printing plates, rollers, and other components.
• Monitor machine performance and make timely adjustments to avoid downtime.
• Blend and test inks and solvents as per material and job requirements.
• Provide on-the-job training to Assistant Machine Operators.
• Maintain proper documentation of production data and quality checks.
• Support waste reduction, 5S practices, and good manufacturing standards.
• Carry out any other duties as assigned by the Production Manager.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Printing Technology or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years experience operating Flexo/Rotogravure/M6 machines.
• Strong understanding of printing processes and machine operations.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to lead and mentor junior staff effectively.
• Certificate of Good Conduct or proof of application.
