Our client, operating within the Pension Fund sector in the East African region, is looking to fill key positions to join a team dedicated to delivering client centric services aligned with its strategic goals and plans for the next five years and beyond. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, candidates must be prepared to take on vital roles defined by the policies and frameworks established to fulfill the organization’s core mandate.

An officer at this level will be responsible to the Assistant Manager, Internal Audit.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Participating in designing the Internal Audit process for the Fund;
• Coordinating in the preparation of the annual risk plan by analyzing key activities and processes in various department and prepare a summary of the auditable areas/audit centers for all the departments;
• Coordinating and supervising the execution of all audit assignments under the department and reports;
• Reviewing the adequacy of the audit client responses to the audit findings;
• Conducting exit meetings and leading discussions on the findings, risk exposures and recommendations;
• Reviewing final audit report, incorporating any revisions resulting from the exit meeting discussions; and
• Conducting ad-hoc/special investigations and reviewing arising from routine audits and/or as requested by management.

Requirements for Appointment

For Appointment To This Grade a Candidate Must Have

• Served for cumulative service period of nine (9) years, three (3) of which must be at the Grade of Senior Internal Auditor or a comparable position;
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Project Management, Business Administration or any other relevant qualification from a recognized institution;
• Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized
• institution;
• Membership to a professional body and in good standing;
• Professional qualification such as CIA, CISA, ACCA, CPA (K), CRMA, PRM or equivalent from a recognized institution;Proficiency in computer applications;
• Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution;
• Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
