Partnership and Localisation Coordinator Job. NGO Jobs in Kenya

  • Provide technical guidance to Trócaire country teams and head office on advancing equitable partnerships with local and national organisations.
  • Accompany partners in identifying and delivering their own capacity strengthening initiatives to enhance institutional resilience, leadership, and sustainability, in collaboration with country teams.
  • Facilitate the participation and leadership of local and national actors, including women-led and women-centred organisations, in coordination, advocacy, and decision-making spaces at country and global levels, in collaboration with country teams.
  • Convene and facilitate regular engagement with the Partner Advisory Group, ensuring partner perspectives inform Trócaire’s partnership and localisation strategy, learning, and decision-making processes
  • Monitoring, reporting, and learning
  • Track and compile progress made by Trócaire on equitable partnerships and local and national leadership across teams and country programmes.
  • Contribute to internal and external reporting processes, including reports to institutional donors and global commitments related to partnership and localisation.
  • Coordinate and contribute to joint learning processes that strengthen understanding and practice across diverse partnership and localisation efforts.
  • External engagement and sector influence
  • Represent Trócaire in key networks, coalitions, and policy spaces on advancing national and local CSO leadership.
  • Facilitate linkages between the advocacy of local and national networks and Trócaire’s global advocacy and learning on shifting power to local and national actors.
  • Contribute to joint initiatives with aligned organisations and networks to support the leadership of local and national actors.

Other Duties

  • Fulfil other duties as may reasonably be required by line management, including engaging with wider organisational processes and priorities.
  • Travel to programme locations, including potentially fragile or conflict-affected areas.

Skills

  • Excellent coordination, planning, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams and partners.
  • Strong communication skills, including verbal, written, and public engagement.
  • Demonstrated agility and flexibility to adapt to emerging priorities and evolving localisation agendas.
  • Ability to support and accompany local and national partners in strengthening leadership, systems, and influence.
  • Ability to facilitate collaborative learning and knowledge exchange across teams.
  • Competent in Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and online systems (Salesforce, Box, Agresso).
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of French, Spanish, or Arabic is an advantage.

Experience

  • Experience working in partnership-based roles within NGOs or INGOs
  • Experience facilitating joint learning, sector dialogue, or peer exchange on localisation or partnership.
  • Familiarity with global policy frameworks on localisation (e.g., the Grand Bargain) and current sector debates.
  • Experience facilitating joint learning, sector dialogue, or advocacy processes with local and national organisations or networks.

Qualifications

Relevant graduate degree (or equivalent in experience).
