Medical Engineering Technologist [3] – 2 Posts Job

Requirements for appointment

• Be a Kenyan citizen;
• Be a holder of a Diploma in Biomedical Engineering Technology
• A valid registration certificate from the Association of Medical Engineering of Kenya (AMEK)
• A Certificate in computer application

Duties and responsibilities

• Undertaking preventive maintenance and repairs of medical/hospital equipment, plants, instruments and furniture;
• Ensuring availability of spare parts and consumables for medical equipment, plants or instruments;
• Maintaining inventory of medical/hospital equipment, furniture and plants;
• Preparing and submitting reports on medical equipment as required;
• Providing technical guidance in the identification, selection, sourcing of Medical equipment;
• Ensuring safety and security in the workshop;
• Coaching and mentoring students on attachment;
• Implementing medical engineering programmes and projects
• Any other duty that may be assigned by the supervisor.

• Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)
• Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)
• Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI)
• For those with higher education certificates (degrees) from outside Kenya, a letter of recognition of qualifications from the Commission of University Education.
