Master Planning Officer Job HF Group

  • Prepare master plans, subdivision layouts, and site development plans for various land projects.
  • Support conveyancing processes by developing accurate survey plans, RIM extractions, and parcel mapping.
  • Develop technical drawings and 3D visualizations for proposed developments.
  • Utilize ArcGIS software to analyze and present spatial data for urban planning projects.
  • Work closely with urban planners, surveyors, architects, and legal teams to ensure compliance with planning regulations and land use policies.
  • Assist in the approval process for planning applications, including PPA1 and PPA2 submissions.
  • Create detailed digital and physical models using SketchUp, Lumion, and Revit.
  • Collaborate with engineers and architects in preparing infrastructure designs, including roads, sewer, and drainage plans.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project feasibility and ensure alignment with master plans.
  • Stay updated on land development policies, zoning regulations, and GIS mapping advancements.

Key Competencies and Skills

  • Knowledge ArcGIS, AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, SketchUp, Lumion, and Autodesk Revit Solid customer.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Strength in problem solving, issue-resolution and ability to work in a deadline-driven work environment.
  • Strong ability to interpret data, maps, and regulatory documents.
  • Communication & team collaboration.
  • Sound understanding of planning policies, land economics, and real estate market dynamics.
  • Degree in Urban Design, Urban Planning, Architecture, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in master planning, urban design, or land development.
  • Strong proficiency in ArcGIS, AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, SketchUp, Lumion, and Autodesk Revit.

Experience

  • Experience in conveyancing, cadastral mapping, and land subdivision processes.
  • Familiarity with Kenyan land laws, planning regulations, and approval processes is an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and visualization skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
