Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Set up, calibrate, and operate oil extraction machinery (presses, centrifuges, decanters, separators).
• Monitor machine settings, adjust controls, and check pulp input to ensure smooth operation.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, perform minor adjustments, and escalate repairs when necessary.
• Track and maximize production efficiency, ensuring output meets targets.
• Conduct quality checks on oil purity, viscosity, color, and moisture content throughout production.
• Follow safety procedures for equipment startup, shutdown, and daily inspections.
• Clean and sanitize machines and work areas to prevent contamination.
• Maintain accurate production logs, calibration records, and daily reports.
• Collaborate with production, quality control, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth workflow.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of a Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field.
• Occupational Trade Test III/II/I for Machine Operators from a recognized institution.
• First Aid Certificate Course (minimum 1 week) from a recognized institution.
• At least 3 years’ hands-on experience operating machinery in food processing or manufacturing.
• Experience with oil extraction equipment or similar processing machinery is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of safety regulations related to machine operation and food processing.
