Lecturer – Animation & Motion Graphics (After Effects)

Role Overview

Switch Media School is seeking an innovative and technically skilled Lecturer in Animation & Motion Graphics (After Effects). The role requires an expert who can train students in 2D/3D motion graphics, compositing, and visual effects while integrating creativity, storytelling, and new technologies in digital content creation.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Train students on Adobe After Effects for animation, keyframing, compositing, and motion graphics.
  • Guide learners in designing titles, lower-thirds, logo animations, and explainer videos.
  • Teach motion tracking, rotoscoping, particle effects, and chroma keying.
  • Demonstrate how to integrate motion graphics into digital and broadcast video productions.
  • Mentor students in creating professional portfolios showcasing real-world animation projects.
  • Introduce AI-driven motion design and smart visual effects workflows.
  • Assess student performance through both theory and practical projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Animation, Digital Media, Graphic Design, or related field.
  • Proven experience in motion graphics design and After Effects workflows.
  • Strong background in visual storytelling, branding, and multimedia production.
  • Demonstrated teaching, mentorship, or professional training experience.
  • Knowledge of Cinema 4D, Blender, or other 3D animation tools.
  • Familiarity with AI-based visual effects, automated compositing, and motion enhancement tools.
  • Professional portfolio showcasing broadcast, film, or digital content animation work.
