Reporting to the ICT Administrator, the IT Officer will assist in providing first-line ICT support to staff, managing day-to-day ICT issues, and supporting system users to ensure the optimal functioning of ICT tools and services.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide help desk support (hardware/software/network).
  • Install and configure workstations, printers, security surveillance system and mobile devices.
  • Assist with data backups, antivirus updates, and IT maintenance.
  • Maintain user accounts and access controls.
  • Support online meetings and audio-visual setups.
  • Maintain IT records.
  • Preventive maintenance of all equipment.
  • Advocate for user policy compliance.
  • Conduct user training.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Basic certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Fundamentals.
  • CNA, MCSA, Linux+, or equivalent certifications. Certification in cybersecurity or networking is an added advantage.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar ICT role.
  • Self-motivated, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
