The Internal Valuer will be responsible for conducting professional valuation and inspection of collateral offered for loans mainly motor vehicles (logbook loans) to support sound credit decisions and manage risk.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct physical inspection and valuation of loan collateral.
- Prepare accurate valuation reports (OMV, FSV, insurance value).
- Verify ownership documents (logbooks).
- Support Credit Officers and Credit Committee with valuation advice.
- Identify and flag valuation risks, fraud, or irregular documentation.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and CBK regulations.
- Monitor market trends affecting collateral values.

Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma/Degree in Actuarial Science, Economics, Finance, Statistics, or related field
- 1–3 years’ experience in valuation (banking/microfinance preferred)
- Experience in motor vehicle valuation and logbook loans is an added advantage
- ISK registration or eligibility is an added advantage
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical and report-writing skills
- High integrity and attention to detail
- Knowledge of Kenyan property and motor vehicle market
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
