Internal Communications Generalist (Contract) Job
The ideal candidate
A passionate storyteller and strategic communicator who can juggle multiple tasks, including responding to time-sensitive requests. You are experienced in creating written, visual, and digital content that is compelling and simplifies complex ideas for a diverse staff audience. You are equally comfortable with supporting the coordination and logistics of engagement sessions and opportunities. You are organized, detail-oriented, and committed to contributing to a culture of openness and inclusivity through effective communication.
Responsibilities:
- Create diverse content formats, such as articles, videos, blogs, updates, and internal newsletters, to engage staff and reinforce our culture.
- Collaborate with the Internal Communications Lead to create communication plans that support messaging and key Foundation initiatives.
- Support the coordination of internal events and engagement opportunities for staff.
- Edit and proofread content to maintain clarity, consistency, and alignment with various messaging.
Skills and experience:
- 3+ years of experience in content writing, corporate communications, or a related field.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a talent for creating engaging content.
- Experience in developing content across multiple formats, including video and graphics.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain high-quality standards.
- Strong organizational skills, including managing content calendars.
- Knowledge of best practices in internal communications to drive employee engagement.
