Food & Beverage Supervisor Job
Key Responsibilities:
Service Operations & Guest Experience:
- Supervise daily food and beverage service operations across all outlets, including main dining areas, outdoor BBQ/nyama choma stations, and event spaces.
- Ensure all guests receive prompt, friendly, and efficient service, consistently exceeding their expectations.
- Actively engage with guests, addressing inquiries, special requests, and promptly resolving any complaints or issues to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Oversee table setups, buffet presentations, and bar readiness to maintain high aesthetic and operational standards.
- Monitor food and beverage quality and presentation, liaising closely with the kitchen and bar teams.
Administrative & Reporting:
- Assist in creating and managing staff schedules, ensuring optimal coverage and adherence to labor budgets.
- Maintain accurate records of daily sales, guest feedback, and operational incidents.
- Operate Point-of-Sale (POS) systems for order entry, billing, and payment processing.
- Contribute to regular F&B meetings and provide insights for operational improvements.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage Management, Hotel Management, or a related field from a recognized institution
- Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience in a supervisory role within a busy hotel, restaurant, catering company, or resort, preferably in Kenya.
- Strong knowledge of various food and beverage service styles, including à la carte, buffet, banqueting, and bar operations.
- Excellent customer service skills with a proactive and problem-solving approach.
- . Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills (both verbal and written in English and Kiswahili).
- Ability to train, motivate, and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Proficiency in using Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and basic computer applications (MS Office).
- Thorough understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
- 2-3 years of proven experience in a supervisory role within a busy hotel, restaurant, catering company, or resort, preferably in Kenya
