Food & Beverage Supervisor Job

Service Operations & Guest Experience:

  • Supervise daily food and beverage service operations across all outlets, including main dining areas, outdoor BBQ/nyama choma stations, and event spaces.
  • Ensure all guests receive prompt, friendly, and efficient service, consistently exceeding their expectations.
  • Actively engage with guests, addressing inquiries, special requests, and promptly resolving any complaints or issues to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Oversee table setups, buffet presentations, and bar readiness to maintain high aesthetic and operational standards.
  • Monitor food and beverage quality and presentation, liaising closely with the kitchen and bar teams.

Administrative & Reporting:

  • Assist in creating and managing staff schedules, ensuring optimal coverage and adherence to labor budgets.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily sales, guest feedback, and operational incidents.
  • Operate Point-of-Sale (POS) systems for order entry, billing, and payment processing.
  • Contribute to regular F&B meetings and provide insights for operational improvements.
  • Diploma in Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage Management, Hotel Management, or a related field from a recognized institution
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience in a supervisory role within a busy hotel, restaurant, catering company, or resort, preferably in Kenya.
  • Strong knowledge of various food and beverage service styles, including à la carte, buffet, banqueting, and bar operations.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a proactive and problem-solving approach.
  • . Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills (both verbal and written in English and Kiswahili).
  • Ability to train, motivate, and manage a diverse team effectively.
  • Proficiency in using Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and basic computer applications (MS Office).
  • Thorough understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • 2-3 years of proven experience in a supervisory role within a busy hotel, restaurant, catering company, or resort, preferably in Kenya
