Finance Controller Job

Duties & Responsibilities

• Post financial transactions in QuickBooks
• Complete monthly bank, debtor, and creditor reconciliations
• File financial documents as per company policy
• Reconcile the general ledger and support month-end closings
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements
• Manage petty cash and associated reports and reconciliations
• Support internal and external audits
• Prepare and submit statutory deductions (e.g., PAYE, NHIF, NSSF, VAT)
• Support project-related financial tasks as needed
• Develop budgets and quotations for project-related tasks.
• Manage accounts receivable and payable
• Perform any other finance-related duties as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum CPA I or ACCA Level 1 qualification
• KCSE certificate with a minimum grade of C plain and above
• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting is an added advantage
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a finance or accounting support role within the security industry
• Experience with QuickBooks and Google Workspace
• Strong skills in MS Office, especially Excel
• High level of integrity and professionalism
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and accountability
• Organized and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
• Proactive and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• A team player with a collaborative spirit and positive attitude
• Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to take initiative
• Excellent communication skills in both English and Swahili, written and verbal
• Adaptable and open to learning in a dynamic work environment
• Curious, with a proactive risk mindset
