Job Purpose

To install, train, adjust, maintain, repair, do planned preventive maintenance, curative maintenance, predictive maintenance and provide technical support for medical equipment’s and any other equipment assigned by my supervisor.

Focus Areas

Dental and Laboratory, Ultrasound specialties

Key Responsibilities:

• Address BME equipment breakdown end to end.
• Perform calibration and routine PPM on equipment such as Hematology, chemistry analyzer, electrolyte analyzer, nursing equipment and radiology equipment.
• Troubleshooting of BME equipment to know identify faults.
• Responsible for inventory for BME equipment at medical Centre level in their region.
• Maintain the BME file at medical Centre level.
• Install, uninstall, servicing and repair of BME equipment.
• Provide any technical support for breakdown of BME equipment’s.
• Assist in orientation and training of new staff and BME equipment.
• Give daily and monthly breakdown report to the head of department.
• Request for any replaceable of equipment needed to the head of department.

Minimum Qualifications

• Diploma in Biomedical engineering
• Member of AMEK (Association of Medical Engineering of Kenya)

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years in Biomedical Engineering experience

Technical skills/Leadership competencies

Leadership skills.

• Organized in discharging duties.
