Job Purpose

We are seeking a highly experienced General Farm Manager to oversee all farm operations,experienced also on avocado and horticultural production. The role involves strategic planning, operational management, staff supervision and ensuring optimal productivity, quality and sustainability of farm operations.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and management of farm operations.
• Plan, implement, and monitor annual and seasonal production programs.
• Oversee planting, irrigation, pruning, pest and disease control, harvesting and post-harvest handling.
• Manage farm budgets, inputs, inventory and operational costs.
• Supervise and coordinate farm staff, supervisors, and casual labor.
• Ensure compliance with Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and health, safety and environmental standards.
• Maintain accurate farm records, production reports and yield data.
• Coordinate with agronomists, suppliers and management.
• Implement sustainable farming practices and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Agronomy or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years experience in commercial farming, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of avocado varieties, production cycles and pest and disease management.
• Strong planning, leadership and problem-solving skills.
