Role Description

This is a full-time onsite role for a Farm Accountant & Admin based in Isinya. The Accounts clerk will be responsible for overseeing farm operations and handling day-to-day accounts functions.

Key tasks include:

• Oversee, supervise and manage farm operations
• Lead and manage cross functional teams
• Act as the point of contact for the farm
• Facilitate regular cross-departmental meetings to discuss operational updates, and address challenges
• Collaborate closely with senior management to translate goals into actionable farm-level plans
• Reconciliation of general ledger accounts
• Ensure timely processing of accounting reports and sharing with relevant parties as required and when required
• Implement measures to control expenses while maintaining operational excellence
• Maintain accounting controls by preparing and implementing policies and procedures
• Responding to accounting inquiries from customers, suppliers and management in a timely manner
• Maintain detailed records of all accounting transactions
• Overseeing and participating in periodic stock take and inventory reconciliation
• Perform any other duties assigned

Qualification and Required Skills

• Diploma in accounts related field or equivalent
• Professional qualification in CPA 1 is preferred
• Minimum 2 years working experience in a supervisory or managerial position
• Experience in managing cross functional teams
• Proficiency in Excel
