Enumerators: TWENDE Project- Isiolo NGO Job IUCN

  • Under the direct supervision of the Water Technician – TWENDE Project, the Enumerators will be responsible for (not limited to) the following:
  • Participate in the mandatory data training session for the enumerator
  • Collect data, record and transmit using the forms in the Kobo toolbox:
  • Explain the purpose of the study to the respondents
  • Interview the key informants
  • Take measurement and observations of the interventions
  • Ensure that data collected are accurately captured by ensuring data quality
  • Ensure his or her field work safety
  • Maintain ethics and confidentiality
  • Immediately communicate any difficulty encountered during data collection to the Water Technical – TWENDE project

The Enumerator should meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agroforestry, Forestry, GIS, Land Survey, Remote Sensing, Environmental Management, Water Resources, Community Development, or similar subjects
  • 0–2 years of working experience in Monitoring and Evaluation, Field Data collection, and Mapping
  • Experience of conducting field surveys by using Mobile data collection Apps, Kobo Collect, and GPS
  • Working experience on projects related to Landscape restoration, watershed management, natural resources management, Forestry, and Agroforestry
  • Having previously worked with IUCN in similar assignments will be a strong asse
  • Good reporting and communication skills in Kiswahili and English
  • Willingness and ability to work in difficult rural areas with rough terrain and extra hours within the TWENDE project Counties, Constituencies, and Wards
  • Should be available to start immediately
