We are looking for an Educational Content Creator to join Amal Labs, a domain-specific AI company dedicated to educational services. In this role, you will play a key part in crafting engaging, research-backed learning materials that empower educators and enhance personalized learning. Success in this position means blending creativity with instructional expertise, collaborating closely with our interdisciplinary team, and delivering high-quality educational resources that resonate with diverse learners. Your work will directly shape how Amal Labs supports schools, teachers, and students, making this role central to our mission and impact.

  • Design and structure educational materials with clear layouts, ensuring logical flow, readability, and learner engagement.
  • Develop lesson guides, activities, and assessments that align with the Kenyan Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) requirements.
  • Research, fact-check, and integrate credible academic and educational sources to support content accuracy and reliability.
  • Provide proper citations and references in all learning resources, adhering to professional and ethical standards.
  • Collaborate with educators, curriculum specialists, and subject matter experts to ensure relevance and compliance with CBC learning outcomes.
  • Adapt content for diverse learner levels and contexts, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility.
  • Continuously review and update content to reflect curriculum changes, new educational policies, and emerging best practices.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in educational content creation, instructional design, curriculum development, or a related field, with a portfolio or sample work.
  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills with the ability to explain complex topics simply and effectively.
  • Familiarity with instructional design principles, digital learning tools, and emerging educational technologies.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Google Workspace, or e-learning platforms (e.g., Moodle, Articulate, Captivate).
  • Excellent collaboration skills, able to work effectively in interdisciplinary and remote teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Kenyan education systems is a plus!
  • Degree or formal training in Education, Instructional Design, Communications, or a related discipline is preferred.
