Editing Lab Technician Job Kabarak University

Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and maintain editing lab equipment including computers, cameras, audio systems, and related hardware
- Provide hands-on technical support to students during practical sessions in media, music, and film editing
- Train and guide students on the use of editing software, audio-visual equipment, and production tools
- Support students in basic production processes including video editing, sound editing, and post-production workflows
- Assist lecturers/instructors in preparing practical lessons and demonstrations.
Qualifications and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Media Studies, Music Audio or a related field
- Must possess strong skills and competencies in audio recording, music editing, sound mixing, and operation of studio and editing equipment
- Must have a minimum of three (3) years’ relevant experience in editing, recording, or music production within a music or audio-visual laboratory
- Must be a registered member of a recognized professional body such as the Music Copyright Society of Kenya or any other relevant professional association in Kenya.
- Must possess relevant professional qualifications in music production, sound engineering, audio technology, or related field from a recognized institution
