Job Description

The Driver is responsible for providing safe, reliable, and courteous transportation services for guests, staff, and departmental logistics activities. This role ensures timely pick-ups and drop-offs, plans efficient routes using GPS applications, and maintains a calm, professional demeanor at all times while representing the resort. Daily responsibilities include conducting routine vehicle safety and cleanliness checks, monitoring fuel usage, recording mileage accurately, and ensuring the vehicle remains in excellent operating condition. The Driver also documents all transport-linked activities and department-chargeable records using the resort’s computerized POS system, supporting operational accountability, reconciliation processes, and smooth coordination within the Transport and Logistics Department.

  • Transport guests, staff, and goods safely and professionally to assigned destinations
  • Ensure timely pickup, drop-off, and delivery in line with resort operational standards
  • Plan and follow efficient routes using GPS or mobile navigation applications
  • Maintain digital route and trip records for accountability and reporting
  • Conduct daily vehicle checks including fuel levels, tires, brakes, engine condition, and safety equipment
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report maintenance needs immediately
  • Log mileage, fuel purchases, internal trip charges, and delivery confirmations in the Transport and Logistics POS system
  • Acknowledge and confirm assigned transport duties electronically
  • Operate the resort’s computerized POS system for all mileage, fuel, and transport service entries for department reconciliation
  • Valid Kenyan driver’s license with the appropriate class for the assigned vehicle
  • Minimum of 3 years driving experience, preferably in corporate, hotel, or resort operations
  • Computer literate with proficiency in GPS applications, digital mileage logs, and POS system entries
  • Defensive driving training with a clean driving record preferred
  • Strong communication skills and organizational discipline
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including weekends and public holidays
  • Strong road safety-first mindset
  • High accuracy in GPS route planning and navigation
  • POS record accuracy and accountability discipline
  • Consistent vehicle care, inspection, and logging discipline
  • Professionalism and composure under pressure
  • Reliable communication with guests, staff, and stakeholders
