Who we are looking for:

We’re on the hunt for a Big Data Engineer who thrives at the intersection of precision, performance, and problem-solving. You’ll be the go-to expert for transforming raw data chaos into structured insights — leveraging your mastery of Excel automation, VBA scripting, and large-scale data pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Migrate and modernize existing processes tied to Nielsen data file collection, manipulation, and use.
• Automate data workflows with advanced Excel/VBA solutions — from macros to custom functions.
• Engineer scalable data pipelines that streamline ingestion, transformation, and validation across multiple data sources.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance reporting and analytics efficiency.
• Troubleshoot, test, and optimize data performance issues and automation scripts.
• Engage in collaborative working sessions and team syncs during both EST and PST hours.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Big Data Engineer or Data Automation Specialist.
• Expert-level Excel skills, including complex formulas, VBA macros, and automation.
• Hands-on experience with data transformation, pipeline orchestration, and workflow migration.
• Familiarity with Nielsen data or other large syndicated data sources (a major plus!).
• Proficiency in SQL and understanding of ETL processes and data modeling.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) for scalable data solutions.
• Strong analytical mindset with a passion for accuracy, performance, and efficiency.
