Consumer Finance Officer- Kilifi Job

As ACE Kenya expands its operations, the Consumer Finance Officer will play a critical role in supporting credit risk management, loan recovery, customer engagement, and field operations across our locations in Mombasa.

At African Clean Energy, you will:

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate customers’ financial information and assess credit risk.
• Support field agents to ensure high-quality sales through strong KYC practices.
• Maximize repayments by engaging customers in arrears and guiding them back to regular payments.
• Support loan restructuring and repossession processes in line with ACE procedures.
• Ensure timely and accurate updates of customer payments in our system.
• Address and resolve customer complaints effectively.
• Conduct customer satisfaction surveys to improve ACE’s servic

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in (Development) Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
• Proven experience in Financial institutions or a similar role, preferably in renewable energy.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Proven ability to achieve targets and deliver results consistently.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
• Results-driven with the ability to focus on achieving set objectives and goals.
• Must be a native of the location applied for.
• Willingness to travel frequently and work flexible hours
• Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of Swahili or other local languages is a plus.
