Easy Housing is looking for an experienced construction manager in Nairobi! We offer sustainable, social and scalable housing in Kenya and Uganda. Our eco-friendly timber homes are affordable, sustainable, and create local jobs.
To further develop the market potential in Kenya, we are expanding our team with a construction manager, preferably with experience in timber construction. We have an office and prefabrication factory in Nairobi and plan on growing our team further in 2026.

Requirements

  • More than 3 years of working experience in construction management.
  • Experience with timber construction is a big plus.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.
  • Expert knowledge of relevant rules, regulations and quality standards in construction.
  • Leadership and human resources management skills.
  • Excellent time and project management skills.
  • Experienced in keeping an overview of production planning of multiple projects.
  • BSc degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field.
  • Affinity with sustainable and affordable housing.
  • Fluency in English and Kiswahili.
  • Based in Nairobi, but available to travel outside Nairobi 40% of his/her/their time

Job Activities.

As construction manager in Kenya, you will be responsible for the following activities:

  • Oversee and direct construction projects from prefabrication till placement.
  • Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate and direct carpentry team and subcontractors.
  • Maintaining tools, materials and equipment and track inventory.
  • Review the work progress on a daily basis.
  • Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to project status.
  • Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
  • Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
  • Work closely together with the Project Managers and carpenters.

Practical details.

  • Location: Factory in Kikuyu and office in Riverside
  • Contract: full-time 1 year contract, 4 months probation period
  • Start: as soon as possible
  • Team size: around 15 people in Kenya, 20+ in Uganda
