Requirements:
- Diploma in Optometry or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
- Certificate of Registration from the relevant professional body
- Valid Professional Practice License from the relevant professional body
- Proficiency in computer applications
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and vision tests
- Diagnose, manage, and treat eye and visual system disorders
- Prescribe corrective lenses (spectacles and contact lenses)
- Detect systemic conditions affecting the eyes (e.g., diabetes, hypertension)
- Conduct refractions and low-vision assessment
- Manage and refer complex ophthalmic cases as appropriate
- Provide pre- and post-operative eye care for surgical patients
