Judicial Service Commission (JSC) is hiring a Chairperson, Capital Markets Tribunal to provide legal leadership, oversee tribunal proceedings, resolve capital markets disputes, interpret relevant legislation, and ensure fair and effective decision-making. A Bachelor’s degree in Law is required, admission as an Advocate is required, and relevant legal experience is required.

 Qualifications:

Pursuant to Section 35A (1)(a) of the Capital Markets Act (Cap. 485A), an applicant to be appointed as Chairperson, Capital Markets Tribunal must possess the following qualifications.

  • Bachelor of Laws degree from a university recognized in Kenya; 
  •  Be an advocate of the High Court of Kenya;
  • Have at least seven (7) years of post-admission experience;
  • Qualification and experience in alternative dispute resolution will be an added advantage;
  • Have a high moral character, integrity, and impartiality (meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution on Leadership and Integrity).
