The Business Development Intern will support DigiTalanta’s growth by assisting with proposal and pitch development, lead generation, and sales support. The role also involves documentation, reporting, branding, and social media marketing activities. This position offers hands-on exposure to business development within a tech-driven social enterprise. It’s a full-time and on-site position. The successful candidate will work from our offices at Ground Floor, Behind Nakah Mini-Mart, Naka Center, Nakuru-Kenya.

  • Support the drafting and customization of business proposals, concept notes, pitch decks, and partnership documents, and assist in responding to RFPs, tenders, and partnership opportunities.
  • Prepare and maintain business development reports, trackers, and databases, while accurately documenting leads, partnerships, meetings, and follow-ups, and supporting data collection and analysis for business development activities.
  • Represent DigiTalanta in meetings, forums, exhibitions, and networking events when required, support brand visibility through presentations and institutional materials, and assist in stakeholder engagement and relationship management.
  • Research and identify potential clients, partners, and funding opportunities, support outreach activities such as emails, calls, and follow-ups, and assist the business development team in managing the sales pipeline.
  • Support the planning and execution of social media content aligned with DigiTalanta’s mission, promote programs, partnerships, and impact stories across digital platforms, and track engagement metrics to support basic performance reporting.
  • Work closely with program, marketing, and operations teams, and provide market and client insights to support continuous improvement of DigiTalanta’s services and offerings.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Information Technology (BBIT), Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field, with a strong interest or background in technology
  • High level of digital literacy and comfort working with technology-driven tools and platforms
  • Demonstrable experience or exposure to business development, sales, or marketing within the technology or digital services sector
