Define and own Akili TV’s strategic narrative

  • Lead the repositioning of Akili TV from a “kids channel” to a trusted family and industry partner
  • Clearly articulate our business model, product offerings, and commercial value
  • Ensure consistency across all internal and external communication

You are responsible for ensuring Akili TV is understood correctly — and chosen accordingly.

Translate product into commercial value

  • Turn shows, podcasts, events, and partnerships into clear, differentiated propositions
  • Develop compelling narratives that connects traditional and digital audience insights to ROI for Akili and their clients/partners
  • Ensure our offerings are easy to understand, easy to sell, and hard to ignore
  • Understand consumer viewing behaviors across platforms, understanding that it’s an ever-evolving landscape, but the human behaviors are not

This is product marketing at a strategic level.

Position Akili TV to attract aligned clients

  • Build industry credibility across sectors including banking, education, insurance, FMCG, retail, personal care, property, and corporate prospects who are in the business of engaging with our broad and valuable audience including children, tweens, teens, and parents/caregivers of those children, of all economic levels
  • Develop clear narratives around:
    • Why brands choose Akili TV
    • How Akili TV delivers safe, effective family engagement
    • Help define how Akili’s 360 strategy of television, digital (social media and podcasts) and events, represent the most progressive approach to marketing in 2026 and beyond
  • Support thought leadership and industry visibility that builds trust, not noise
  • Shape thought leadership and strategic storytelling that positions Akili TV as a partner of choice for reaching and engaging with the target audiences attractive to certain brands, products, and services

Your goal is not awareness — it is qualified engagement that leads consumers deeper into the marketing funnel.

Drive revenue-aligned storytelling

  • Develop Akili-focused campaigns and communications initiatives that directly support commercial objectives, including building engagement with stakeholders from all directions
  • Align marketing priorities with sales pipelines to ensure the we can track and understand ROI
  • Translate performance data into insights and audience narratives that advance business outcomes

Every major communication initiative should connect to growth, harmoniously and intentionally.

Protect and elevate brand perception

  • Identify and address perception gaps in the market
  • Ensure disciplined brand architecture that supports:
    • Young people
      • Pre-school on TV
      • After-school tweens and teens
      • Teens
    • Families who appreciate and require safe, wholesome, and fun entertainment
    • Commercial and non-commercial partnerships
  • Anticipate reputational risks and ensure proactive positioning, while clearly understanding and communicating Akili’s value proposition to our audience, commercial and non-commercial prospects

Brand architecture & messaging discipline

  • Develop and maintain a clear brand architecture that supports:
    • Young people
      • Pre-school on TV
      • After-school tweens and teens
      • Teens
    • Families who appreciate and require safe, wholesome, and fun entertainment
    • Commercial and non-commercial partnerships
  • Ensure messaging is tailored by audience while remaining consistent and credible
  • Maintain clear brand boundaries, including exclusion of alcohol and betting companies

Serve as a strategic partner to leadership

  • Provide communications counsel to senior leadership
  • Help shape how Akili TV presents itself to clients, stakeholders, and industry
  • Think beyond campaigns but integrating the strength of our existing pillars of TV, digital and IRL events — operate as a growth partner

Experience & mindset

  • Significant experience in strategic communications, brand positioning, product marketing, or commercial storytelling
  • Proven ability to reposition brands or shape perception
  • Strong understanding of how marketing and communications support sales and revenue
  • Insight-led thinker who uses data to make decisions
  • Strong business acumen and comfort engaging with commercial teams
  • Ability to translate complex ideas into compelling narratives
  • Confidence operating with senior stakeholders
  • A strategic mindset balanced with executional discipline
