  • Bachelor’s degree in Building Economics, Quantity Surveying, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution

  • Prepare cost estimates for construction and maintenance projects
  • Prepare Bills of Quantities (BoQs) for tendering and procurement purposes
  • Conduct monthly valuations of work done on site for interim payment certificates
  • Carry out site remeasurements to verify quantities of completed work
  • Prepare and process variation orders arising from scope or design changes
  • Assist in tender evaluation and contract documentation
  • Monitor project costs to ensure alignment with approved budgets
  • Prepare cost reports and advise on cost control strategies
  • Participate in site meetings and provide technical input on cost matters
  • Verify contractor claims and recommend payment based on work progress
  • Assist in the preparation of final accounts at project completion.
  • Maintain updated records of project financials and correspondence
  • Support procurement planning by providing accurate quantity and cost data
  • Liaise with project consultants, contractors, and suppliers on cost-related issues
  • Assist in preparation and review of contract documents and specifications
  • Ensure compliance with relevant procurement laws, building codes, and regulations
  • Monitor material usage and wastage on site to enhance cost efficiency
  • Provide input into value engineering exercises to optimize project cost
  • Prepare periodic progress and financial reports for management review.
  • Assist in risk analysis and preparation of mitigation cost plans
  • Plan, monitor and evaluate performance of staff against the set targets
