Qualifications
For appointment to this grade,
a candidate must have a Diploma in any of the following disciplines: – Range Management, Water Resource Management, Irrigation, Forestry, Agriculture, Environmental Resource Management, Earth Science, Agricultural Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Water Engineering, Civil Engineering or Community Development from a University recognized in Kenya.
Duties and Responsibilities
This is an entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a senior officer. Duties and responsibilities will include:-
- Identifying community needs;
- Collecting data and information on degraded land;
- Identifying community resources, their source, management and utilization; and
- Assisting communities in preparing and implementing work plans
