Our client whose mandate is the management of a high-rise commercial building at the heart of Nairobi CBD is looking for detail oriented and meticulous officer to fill the position of an assistant accountant.

Responsible for posting daily financial transactions and, proper maintenance of records and documents relating to the office complex.

  • Post daily financial transactions.
  • Receive and receipt payments.
  • Issue invoices and ETR receipts to tenants.
  • Bank collections daily.
  • Maintain the Daily Banking Register.
  • Open files, file documents and record file movements, related to financial transactions.
  • Receive, register, open, peruse, distribute and dispatch mail.
  • Retrieve information.
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the Accountant, Property Manager and Management Committee.

Person Specification

  • CPA Part II or equivalent accounting certification.
  • At least 2 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, or general accounting.
  • Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Tally.
  • Basic knowledge of financial reporting and bank reconciliations.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
