Role Description

This is a full-time role for an Agronomist.

Responsibilities

The Agronomist will be responsible for;

• conducting Farm visits, soil analyses, developing crop plans, managing pest and disease control strategies,
• conducting field trials, and advising on crop health management,
• work closely with field agents and clients to implement solutions,
• assist in developing and interpreting soil health reports, train field staff and farmers on sustainable practices and technology use.
• The role also includes monitoring and analyzing crop performance and data and ensuring sustainable farming practices.

Location, Nairobi-based with field visits across Kenya.

Qualifications

• A degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, Soil Science or a related field
• 1 to 2 years of Experience in soil analysis and pest management
• Knowledge of crop planning and sustainable farming practices, soil health and fertilizers
• Field trial management and crop performance analysis skills
• Good communication and advisory skills
• Ability to work independently and manage field operations
• Proficiency in data collection and analysis
