How CSS Transformed Vivian’s Career Journey
Last week, we held a farewell party for Vivian Peresian, an assistant account manager who is transitioning to a new career.

Over the past two years at CSS, her incredible journey has demonstrated growth, commitment, and impact.
She joined CSS recruitment assistant and her exceptional skills opened doors for a role as an admin and later promoted to assistant account manager.
As an assistant account manager, she has been managing the end-to-end recruitment process for clients. This involves sourcing, shortlisting, and interviewing candidates to fulfil client hiring needs and managing feedback.
As she transitions to a new career opportunity, I interacted with her to understand how her journey at CSS has been. Here’s her story.
1. What initially attracted you to join Corporate Staffing Services?
I was drawn to Corporate Staffing due to its professionalism and reputation in the industry. I wanted to learn more about recruitment, so when I saw the job advert, I applied. I was looking for a company that matched my values of excellence, and CSS’s track record made it an ideal fit.
2. How did you rise from recruitment assistant to assistant account manager?
My rise from recruitment assistant to assistant account manager was a result of hard work, strong mentorship, and a constant drive to improve. I focused on understanding client needs, enhancing candidate experience, building strong relationships, and providing solutions. With team support, I took on additional responsibilities and eventually earned this promotion.
3. What skills have you developed during your time with us?
I’ve honed essential skills in client management, recruitment strategy, talent assessment, headhunting, and talent acquisition. Additionally, I’ve developed stronger communication and negotiation skills, learned to juggle multiple priorities effectively, and gained a solid understanding of market trends.
5. Do you think the CSS has transformed you as a professional since you joined?
Absolutely. CSS has transformed career and my approach to work, especially in terms of professionalism, handling challenges proactively, and focusing on results. It’s been a continuous learning process that’s made me more resilient and adaptable—qualities I didn’t fully appreciate when I first started.
6. What will you miss most about working at CSS?
I’ll miss the supportive environment we’ve built here. The culture at CSS encourages growth, and my colleagues and managers have consistently supported me in reaching my potential.
7. What are some lessons you’ve learned that you’ll carry forward?
I’ve learned the importance of clear communication, resilience in the face of setbacks, and the value of building lasting relationships. I’ve also gained a deeper appreciation for the impact recruiters can have on both clients and candidates, helping shape careers and strengthen organizations.
8. Is there anything you wish you had known when you first started?
I wish I had known the value of networking from the very start. Building a strong network of industry contacts has been invaluable, and I would encourage anyone to prioritize this from day one.
9. How would you like to be remembered by your colleagues?
I’d like to be remembered as someone who was dependable, supportive, and dedicated to helping others succeed. I hope my colleagues see me as a team player who is always willing to go the extra mile.
10. What advice would you give to someone starting in your initial role?
Be curious and ask questions. Recruitment is a field where you can learn, so take every opportunity to expand your knowledge. Building strong relationships with clients and candidates is key, and be proactive in offering solutions.
11. You have interacted with many job seekers; what is one mistake that you have noticed that is hindering them from succeeding in their job search?
One common mistake I’ve noticed is that candidates often don’t tailor their applications to the specific roles they apply for. Many rely on generic CVs and cover letters, which makes it hard for them to stand out.
12. What advice can you give to candidates who are struggling to position themselves as the right candidates in the job market?
My advice is, focus on understanding your unique value proposition—what makes you stand out—and emphasize these strengths in your applications. Additionally, networking and building connections in your field can open doors to opportunities that may not be advertised.
As you embark on a new career path, we wish you all the best, we are confident that your skills and commitment will lead to great success in your career.
