1. Briefly introduce yourself.
I am Kelvin Masaka, the country accountant for Silverlands Kenya Ltd, a company that is a part of Silverlands Tanzania Ltd. We are located in 3 countries in East Africa, including Kenya.
2. What is your relationship with CSS?
Corporate Staffing Services (CSS) is the primary contact for Silverlands Kenya. Currently, CSS is managing our Payroll and the entire human resource function. They ensure Payroll is run and relevant statutory deductions are remitted and also see to our HR processes.
3. How did you come along with CSS?
Some time back, we were trying to find an in-house HR, but because of the challenges in recruiting and the fact that Silverlands doesn’t have a permanent office in Kenya, we decided that it would be best to outsource these functions. That is how we found CSS online, and we reached out. It has been almost two years now.
4. How would you describe the services and the support you get from CSS?
CSS is doing a great job. All the queries directed to our contact person are handled on time. Our Payroll is paid on time, and we are happy with the services. They are also proactive; they visit our offices to follow up with our staff. Our relationship is not only professional but also warm and cordial.
5. Does CSS meet your unique business needs and requirements?
Yes. What stands out for us is the timeliness of delivery. Sometimes we don’t remit our payment on time due to unavoidable circumstances, but they have ensured that Payroll always runs smoothly and on time.
For the HR function, they visit our staff on our farm and are interested to know what our business is all about and get involved in the business expansion. They are also concerned about the welfare of our staff and how to grow them like identifying the training needs etc. It is an excellent interactive engagement.

Definitely! Based on our relationship and what CSS is doing for us, we would not hesitate to refer to CSS for anything that has to do with HR, Training, Recruitment, Payroll, or Staff outsourcing.
