FortiCereals Foods Ltd is seeking an ambitious and results-driven Sales & Marketing Executive to support the launch and growth of our maize flour brands. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales, building distribution networks, identifying new business opportunities, and executing marketing initiatives that increase brand visibility and market penetration.

This role is ideal for a professional with experience in the milling, flour, food manufacturing, or FMCG sector who understands the Kenyan retail and wholesale landscape and has a proven ability to grow market share.Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business Development

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and volume targets.
  • Identify, onboard, and manage distributors, wholesalers, retailers, supermarkets, and institutional buyers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers across assigned territories.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and trade agreements with customers.
  • Conduct regular market visits to identify opportunities, gather customer feedback, and monitor competitor activities.
  • Prepare and submit sales forecasts, reports, and market intelligence updates.
  • Drive product placement, visibility, and availability across key outlets.

Marketing & Brand Development

  • Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns to promote company’s brands.
  • Coordinate product launches, trade activations, roadshows, and promotional activities.
  • Manage social media and digital marketing initiatives where applicable.
  • Work closely with distributors and retailers to ensure effective brand visibility and merchandising.
  • Monitor market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities to recommend growth strategies.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Develop long-term partnerships with key accounts.

Market Expansion

  • Identify and pursue new market opportunities across Kenya and East Africa.
  • Explore opportunities within supermarkets, wholesalers, schools, hotels, restaurants, and other institutional clients.
  • Develop strategies for entering new territories and increasing market share.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Sales and Marketing within a milling company, flour manufacturing company, food processing company, or FMCG environment.
  • Demonstrated experience selling products through distributors, wholesalers, and modern trade channels.
  • Strong understanding of the Kenyan FMCG market and route-to-market strategies.
  • Experience launching or growing consumer brands will be an added advantage.
  • A valid driving license is an added advantage.

  • Ability to work independently and build a sales network from the ground up.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Monthly sales revenue achieved.
  • Number of new distributors and customers onboarded.
  • Market coverage and outlet penetration.
  • Customer retention and satisfaction levels.
  • Product availability across target markets.
  • Growth in brand awareness and market share.

We are looking for a hands-on commercial professional who understands how to take a milling product from production to the consumer. The ideal candidate has an existing network within the FMCG sector, understands distribution channels, and can help establish FortiCereals Foods Ltd as a trusted household brand across Kenya. Experience in maize flour, wheat flour, animal feeds, grain processing, or FMCG sales is highly preferred.
