ICT Support Associate Job Aga Khan Academy, Nairobi, Kenya

The Aga Khan Academy, Nairobi invites applications from motivated and dedicated professionals for the position of ICT Support Associate. Reporting to the ICT Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering effective ICT support across the Academy, ensuring the smooth operation of digital infrastructure, and empowering staff and students to make the most of technology in teaching, learning, and daily operations.

Responsibilities

Technical Proficiency

• Proficiency in the installation, configuration and maintenance of ICT hardware, software, and networks.
• Sound knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and data protection compliance.
• Ability to manage ICT assets, maintain accurate inventory, and coordinate ICT equipment repairs.
• Strong user support skills; developing ICT procedures, delivering training, promoting effective technology use.
• Familiarity with server infrastructure and wireless access point management (e.g. Aruba networks).

Interpersonal and Communication Skills

• Ability to train and build capacity among non-technical users.
• Strong communication skills; effective collaboration with internal teams and external vendors.
• Professional, proactive and responsive approach to service delivery.

Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills

• Keen attention to detail and accuracy in diagnosing and resolving ICT issues.
• Capacity to prioritize multiple tasks and respond effectively to emergencies.

The requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, Microsoft Systems Engineering, ITIL

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in ICT support, network administration, or systems management.
• Proven experience managing network infrastructure and user support in an institutional setting.
