Farm Manager / Administrator Job

Florius is a leading floriculture company, growing premium flowers that are exported worldwide.

For our operations on a partner farm in Kenya, we are looking for an experienced and hands-on:

FARM MANAGER

We are looking for an experienced Farm Manager to join the Kenyan team and oversee the daily management of the company’s operations, floricultural and logistical activities. The farm currently has approximately 300 employees. The Farm Manager will work as part of a management team and report directly to the board of directors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for day-to-day organizational, floricultural and logistical activities on the farm, including labour allocation, crop scheduling, certification, and compliance activities.
• Communication and coordination with other farms and managers.
• Farm supply and stock management.
• Ensure all export activities run smoothly.
• Liaise with various government authorities as required.
• Execute all responsibilities in a cost-effective manner.
• Assist with farm security as needed.
• You will play a key role in the farm’s senior management team. You will be pivotal in driving team spirit, fostering cooperation between management and other farms, and ensuring high-quality and timely output.
• Location:
• Based in Kenya, living on-site at the farm.

Must-Haves:

• Proven farming or horticultural management skills, with a solid understanding of farm operations and procedures.
• Degree or diploma from a recognised institution.
• Strong communication skills.
• High energy.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• High level of integrity.
• Experience working in developing countries.
• Strong computer proficiency.

Nice to Have:

• Kenyan citizenship or a valid work permit.
• A market-conform package is available. The start date is as soon as the ideal candidate is found.
