Role Summary

Support the development, calibration, and operationalization of advanced modelling and forecasting systems for environmental and climate-related applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, run, and optimize numerical and statistical models.
• Conduct model validation, verification, and performance analysis.
• Develop workflows for data processing and model automation.
• Support integration of forecasting outputs into operational systems.
• Contribute to development of technical documentation and user guidelines.
• Deliver technical training and mentoring to local teams.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Atmospheric Science, Climate Modelling, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in environmental or climate modelling.
• Strong programming skills (e.g., Python, R, or similar).
• Experience with data analysis, visualization,  and model verification techniques.
• Familiarity with open-source tools and modelling frameworks.
