  • This role is responsible for contributing to the growth of business at A&S Insurance Brokers Ltd through identifying and pursuing sales opportunities as well as strategically engaging customers to meet annual sales targets.
  • Contacting clients and setting up the meetings, either within an office environment or business premises.
  • Develop business and marketing plans in coordination with Principal Officer to achieve personal revenue goals/target.
  • Develop new and strong customer relationships in order to generate high volume of prospective clients.
  • Analyzing information and preparing plans best suited to individual clients’ requirements
  • Researching the market place and providing clients with information on new and existing products and services.
  • Assisting client to make informed decision.
  • Respond to client queries regarding the products in a timely fashion.
  • Reviewing and responding to clients changing needs and financial circumstances
  • Keeping up to date with financial product and legislation
  • Meeting the regulatory aspect of the role, e.g., requirements for disclosure, costs of the services provided and also the advised product.
  • Deliver the on-business targets in line with the company growth strategy.
  • Provide recommendations for business growth and problem solution.
  • Prepare bid documents by ensuring quality control.
  • Track and report on the actual number of wins/losses and reasons for them.
  • Collect and archive matter/case summaries and all related information for use in pitches/RFPs, bios, legal directory submissions, website, annual review, press releases, etc.
  • Stakeholder relationship management.
  • Manage all business development processes and procedures.
  • Perform other business development duties as instructed by the Partners/PO.
  • Familiarize with the current market conditions and trends.
  • Generate, validate, and pursue new leads and referrals.
  • Maintain strong relationships with underwriters and service teams.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of core product lines and serve as the insurance coverage expert to clients.
  • Effectively identify and communicate exposures and risk transfer solutions to clients & prospects.
  • Attend any internal/external pre-renewal or prep meetings with service teams.
  • Submit information to market(s); receive and review quotes; compose proposals as needed.
  • Demonstrate professional and tactful negotiation skills to achieve objectives.
  • Demonstrate interpersonal communication skills and the ability to interact with colleagues at all levels of responsibility.
  • Give daily, weekly and monthly activity / revenue reports to Management on time.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, B com or a related field.
  • Currently pursing or have completed Diploma in Insurance AIIK /CII or Marketing or equivalent professional qualification is an added advantage.

Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within Brokerage or Insurance.

Technical Competencies

  • Knowledge of insurance industry and concepts
  • Knowledge of insurance regulatory requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in sales and marketing of insurance services.
  • Knowledge of emerging trends in supply and demand of General Insurance and health insurance services and related market intelligence
  • Experience in managing stakeholders in the General and health insurance services ecosystem.
